From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the jet way (B-10) was recently replaced. The yellow taxi line was sand blasted out and a new one painted on the ramp extending 30 feet to the north at the outboard end. The catering truck parking area to the north or right side of the aircraft had not been moved. When docking, Alaska airlines flight 612 hit the parked truck with its right wing damaging the wing slat and leading edge under the slat. The right wing walker xed his wands when it was evident of a collision. The marshall, when observing the xed signal from the wing man, held his wands in an x. at this time, the aircraft was 5 to 7 feet from the truck. The aircraft did not stop until after the collision. This ramp also has a slight down slope from the taxiway to the terminal.
