From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: aircraft landed with nose gear up. Pilot stated that during takeoff the landing gear retraction was normal. However, during landing, he did not get a green down lock and looked into the wing mirror and saw the nose landing gear was still retracted. He then made a go-around and tried numerous times to cycle the gear with no positive response. Finally, he made a main gear only landing. Damage to the aircraft included a bent prop and slight nose gear door damage. There were no injuries. No further action required.
