From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Just after becoming airborne the pilot did not feel the aircraft was producing normal power and was not climbing as expected. He elected to land back on the runway but decided that if he landed on the runway he would not be able to stop prior to the end of the runway so he climbed, made a turn and landed safely on a taxiway at the end of the runway. There was no damage to the airplane. The pilot stated he had deiced the aircraft prior to takeoff and thought that the failure to fly was due to either induction icing or possibly not getting all of the ice off the wings.privacy data omitted Incident privacy data omitted is considered closed with this report. privacy data omitted

As the FAA filed it

HE ELECTED TO LAND BACK ON THE RUNWAY BUT DECIDED THAT IF HE LANDED ON THE RUNWAY HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO STOP PRIOR TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY SO HE CLIMBED, MADE A TURN AND LANDED SAFELY ON A TAXIWAY AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE. THE PILOT STATED HE HAD DEICED THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO TAKEOFF AND THOUGHT THAT THE FAILURE TO FLY WAS DUE TO EITHER INDUCTION ICING OR POSSIBLY NOT GETTING ALL OF THE ICE OFF THE WINGS.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^
