From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N8145Q, a Cessna 414, inbound to lit, nose gear collapsed after landing and after the engine had been feathered. No injuries, minor damage. Pilot stated that when landing, gear handle was put down. The noses gear light did not illuminate. He made a missed approach and attempted to verify the light with no success. Touched down on the main landing gear and feathered and secured both engines. During the rollout, was able to "bump" both starters in order to position both propellers so they would not hit the runway on impact. Maintenance personnel at central flying svc. Inspected and found the bellcrank damaged and the extention rod bent. Suspected this to have happened when the gear was retracted on departure from asg. M or d (s) submitted on defective part(s). This incident is closed.
