From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: (pilot statement) during starting of the right engine on N4641A, I noticed an initial stack fire, which was extinguished within 2-3 seconds after the right engine started. When I looked up, I saw ramp personnel motioning for me to get out of the plane, so I shut down the engine and all switches and got out of the airplane. As I was exiting the cargo door of the aircraft, I noticed flames and black smoke coming from the underneath of the fuselage. I then saw ramp personnel already extinguished the flames which were extinguised within 30 seconds of initial start of fire. At this point, I also noticed a stream of fuel pouring out of the right tank vent overflow. After the flames were extinguished, another 30 seconds passed before fuel stopped pouring out onto the ramp. privacy data omitted Maintenance personnel are investigating.
