From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: upon landing on runway 32, rangely municipal airport with approximately 3/4" of heavy, wet, snow, with crosswind from north at approximately 15K, aircraft skidded to left side of runway while decelerating with reverse thrust and no braking. Left engine brought out of reverse to try to turn back to center line. Because of delay and left main gear contacting mud at side of runway, aircraft swung abruptly to left and contacted snowbank, bending both props and collapsing nose gear. No other apparent structural damage or injuries to passengers and crew or aircraft. This is an amended report 06/04/97.
