From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on may 14, 1997, at 1135 hours PDT, a westair commuter ran off the right side of runway 14 at the Arcata-Eureka airport. This flight, a BA-3100, was being operated as united express flight 7052, a scheduled flight from cresent city to Arcata. Investigation revealed that the flight touched down with approximately 2700 feet of runway remaining. The first officer stated he was at the controls during this landing. The first officer also stated when asked about speeds over the threshold his reply was "vref" plus fifteen. In addition I believe that the aircraft was high. I saw the aircraft just after touch down, and it appeared to be fast for the amount of remaining runway. There was approximately a 750 foot skid mark from the right main wheel, but right main tire did not have a noticeable flat spot. The aircraft engine and propeller was changed and the anti-skid checked and found operational. privacy data omitted
