From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Conversation with the airman revealed that the brakes seemed spongy on preflight so the pilot added brake fluid and things seemed fine at that point. On landing rollout the pilot applied brakes but found no brake pressure. The aircraft rolled off the end of the runway and into a dry river bed damaging the right wing tip and nose cowling and nose gear. Minor damage. The pilot also added that he is looing into an updated braking system that would replace the old drum brakes. Nothing that the pilot said he did warrants any further investigation. See attached pilot statement.
