From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-16) On 06/05/97, at approximately 1300 hours local, aircraft 7354B and N7ZA were to depart Jean Airport (0L7) for an aerial photo shoot. Aircraft N7ZA began taxiing from his tie down point when he observed aircraft N7354B'S engine starting. Aircraft N7ZA hurried his taxi by the bonanza in order to obtain the lead takeoff position as the pilots had previously briefed. Immediately after the zlin had passed the bonanza, the pilot of the bonanza applied his throttle in order to taxi out with the zlin. At this point, the bonanza accelerated and the zlin slowed his taxi as he was now past the bonanza. The pilot of the bonanza could not stop his aircraft as he was flying from the right seat which has no pedal brake control. Subsequently the bonanza prop cut through the right wing of the zlin causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
