From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot reports that he executed the takeoff when prevailing winds were approximately 5-10 knots out of the south. After a normal lift off, he leveled off 5-10 feet above the lake to accelerate when the aircraft suddenly stalled and the right float hit the water. The aircraft veered to the right, the left float dug into the water and the aircraft slowly rolled over. There were no injuries to the occupants of the aircraft and local personnel verified that the minor damage was limited to the wing tip of the aircraft.
