From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Estimated fuel before take off at 2.5 hrs. At 1.8 hrs on the hobb meter on final the engine stopped, I knew I couldn't make the runway so I cleared the trees twice on rt 1, made a 90 degree bank with the flow of traffic and to avoid oncoming traffic the right gear hit the land before I was able to level off. The left gear collapsed when the plane slid off to the right. 10-15 mph winds clear.
