From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Crashed on takeoff other circumstances are unknown. (-23) the pilot stated that he had taken off from a private grass runway at 65 knots with no problem. There were trees to clear at the end of the runway, and the plane suddenly started to feel like it needed help and the control yoke felt sloppy, but the engine was running fine. The stall warning light came on, and when he saw he couldn't clear the trees , he chose a spot and stalled it into the tree tops. The pilot and passenger evacuated the aircraft with the passenger suffering minor injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged by the post-crash fire.
