From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot noted that the gear-in-transit light remained with gear selected up after takeoff from mmu. Pilot re-selected gear down, observed gear safe indication, and continued to 39N with gear down. Uneventful landing accomplished at 39N. Pilot did not inspect landing gear due to darkness and other planned activities at that location. Pilot departed 39N and noted same indication (gear-in-transit light on) after gear retraction. Pilot re-selected gear down; however, right main gear remained in an unsafe (no green light) condition. Pilot recycled gear several times with the same result. Emergency gear extension procedure accomplished, no change. Pilot diverted to lns for assistance and completed a planned gear-up landing. Post incident inspection revealed that the right main landing gear center scissors bolt sheared. This allowed one of the scissors arms to jam the right gear assembly against the aft wheel well in a mid travel position. M & d report initiated. privacy data omitted

As the FAA filed it

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^
