From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: two jumpers exited the aircraft at 10,000' MSL with no problem, both parachutes worked with no problem. At approximately 100' AGL Mr. Funk (fatality) attempted an abrupt maneuver too close to the ground and he hit very hard. He was med-evac to baptist hospital, kendall, Florida where he died. No problems were found with parachute, weather, operator, etc. It appears to be bad decision making on the part of the parachutist (Mr. Justus funk) none of the 9 responsibilities were involved in this parachute incident. Occurred during landing. Parachutist conducted maneuver at too low of an altitude which caused him to strike the ground very hard.
