From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On forced landing due power loss rt wing struck wires and came to rest in a residential yard. Rt wing seperated. (-23) the pilot was engaged in local flying and was "hedge hopping." The aircraft impacted a television cable (one inch in diameter) suspended between two hills (mountainous terrain), impacting the forward right lift strut and effectively severing the right wing. The aircraft impacted the ground in the front yard of a relative of the pilot. Subsequent, engine inspection and tests revealed a perfectly functioning engine.
