From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft landed at mbj striking the tail skid. The force of impact caused frame 77 to buckle slightly & crack in two places. Shear ties attaching frame 77 to the skin pulled loose between stringers 36 & 56. Frame 76 also had several shear ties bent but the frame was not damaged. Damage to three of the four frame to floor beam struts at frame 77 occurred & the lower portion of the floor beam at frame 77 was warped slightly. L/h stringer 54 cap was ruptured near frame 77. Minor exterior skin buckles were observed on either side of the tail skid. We consider this incident closed. Reported in accordance with airline safety action partnership (asap).
