From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot reported that while landing on runway 22L, the aircraft was slightly right of the centerline of the localizer at which time he made a corrective maneuver to bring the aircraft to the centerline. Pilot stated, the aircraft must have first touched-down with the right landing gear, the thrust reversers operated normally and he did not sense any anomalies. Maintenance personnel found damage to #4 engine after the aircraft was parked. The pilot was shown the damage to the underside of the engine. Apparently, #4 engine contacted the runway during landing. The damage consisted of scrapes and dents to the lower areas of the #4 engine pylon and #4 engine. Aircraft three (3) engine ferried to athens, greece for #4 engine change. A letter was written to the greece, caa apprising them of this matter for their information and any action they deem appropriate.
