From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on March 3, 1998, at 1325 cdst, Cessna model 210K, N9483M, owned and operated by herschell h. hargus made an emergency gear up landing at it's point of departure after a local pleasure flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time. Minor damage was done to the aircraft landing gear & propeller, the commercial pilot and three passengers were uninjured. The both main landing gear doors sustained structure damage as did the underside of the fuselage. The propeller blades were bent with the tips rolled forward. Preliminary test of the landing gear extension system indicates there is insufficient hydraulic pressure to cause the landing gear to extend and lock in the down position. Further test will be conducted to isolate the inoperative system components and an "m or d" report will follow.
