From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated that he received weather information from the tv news before departing (pilot stated that he had received duats information all week.) Departed chandler (chd) at approximately 8 pm for a local flight first arriving for a full stop landing at falcon field mesa, AZ (ffz) left ffz for chd for 1 full stop landing. Departed then for Deer valley (dvt) for a full stop landing. After that departed for another full stop landing at dvt. Pilot had stated that he had neglected to lower the landing gear before landing. Pilot stated that during that portion of the pattern that he would lower the landing gear he was distracted by other traffic in the pattern. Refer for operations consult. Counseling indicated no flaw or lack of knowledge. Simply a procedural weakness which was corrected during counseling. 44709 not beneficial.
