From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Struck power lines on a spray run. Lines hard to see. No markers wide spaced poles. (.4)while engaged in spraying pesticide over rye grass along a rural road, the Grumman 'agcat' biplane impacted several power/phone lines which the pilot reported he did not see. The lines were unmarked. The power poles supporting the lines were approximately 1,000 feet apart and the catenary would have been near its low point in the vicinity of the crossing point (diagonally) over the road. (-23)aircraft struck powerlines during spary run and subsequently crahsed.
