From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Takeoff run soft sod. Too slow aborted. Braked and nosed over. Failed note field and wind conditions. (.4)the pilot said the airstrip was made up of very thick sod that was a little soft. The airplane had 2,000 pounds of chemical on board. The pilot said that during the takeoff roll, he noticed that he could not reach takeoff speed. He said he waited too late to stop. The pilot quickly applied the brakes. The airplane 'went end over.' Examination of the wreckage revealed no anomalies. (-23)had operated off of malden. Then moved to James Stewart Private strip, 3 miles north on H-153. First takeoff was to the west. Sod was softer than it appeared. Aircraft was accelerating slower than expected. Takeoff was aborted. Brakes were applied then a/c nosed over ans stopped inverted. No injuries. Substantial damage. Right wing wrinkled approxiamtely midway out. Engine mount damage.
