From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Nose gear and right main collapsed during landing. Prop struck runway. Aircraft veered to the right, off the runway. Damage to both wings, all gear, firewall, and prop. (.4)the pilot reported that he was 10 feet above the runway when he started the flare. He reported that when the main landing gear contacted the runway he let the yoke go forward. He reported, 'all of a sudden the nose of the plane was on the runway and I [went] skidding to the right. I had skidded all the way across the runway and onto the grass.' The inspection of the airplane revealed that the right main gear forward trunion bearing broke downward while the aft trunion broke upward causing damage to the top side of the wing. The same action caused damage to the top side of the left wing.
