From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

High sink. Hit rwy tail first. Bounced. Lost control. Ground looped. Folded right main. Flipped over. (.4)the pilot stated that while he was performing a touch-and-go landing he landed with an excessive sink rate and the main landing gear collapsed. (-23) at approximately 1215 pm local, while practicing take offs and landings, runway 12 at SO3 (Ashland,OR), to a full stop, the pilot stated that on the third approach he developed an increased sink rate due to a low power setting. The aircraft contacted the ground tail first then bounced, came around to the right (ground looped), then porpoised, touched down on right gear, which folded under the aircraft and skidded left of center line to the edge of runway where it contacted the dirt and flipped over, coming to a stop inverted.
