What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-5)Pilot landed on wake left by crewboat. The right float became submerged, causing the airplane to nose over. There were no injuries sustained by either the pilot or passenger. Mr. Porter has over 7,000 hours in make and model without any prior accidents or incidents. He stated that he had landed under similar conditions many times before without experiencing any problems; because of this he did not feel that a hazardous situation existed. Pilot now realizes that there are hazards associtated with this type of landing, and will avoid landing accross boat wakes in the future.
