From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-5) While on a part 135 cargo flight to Decatur, IL (dec), preparing for the landing the pilot selected the fullest tanks. A short time later, while on vectors for the back course the right engine began to lose power, the pilot selected cross feed and restored the engine operation. The pilot requested vectors for the ILS and made an uneventful landing and off loaded the cargo. Maintenance personnel checked and found the right fuel selector cable broken. The tank valve was secured in the outboard main position. The tank was filled and the pilot departed for jainesville, WI, under part 91 without further incident. Gail force express maintenance personnel replaced the cable. This incident is closed with this report.
