From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The landing runway had about three inches of new snow on it. There were deeper drifts along the edges where the city had previously plowed the snow off. Shortley after touchdown, the aircraft encountered some drifted snow with the left main landing gear, causing it to turn left into more snow along the left edge of the runway. As it entered the deeper snow, the nosegear collapsed and the propeller blades were bent. The pilot stated that there was a light crosswind from the right and visibility was about one mile, but that the weather was not a problem. Incident # CE99IGA0025 is closed.
