From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that he made ILS approach to sts. He mentioned that he usually lowers gear and 10 degrees flaps at outer marker. This time he indicates that he lowered flaps and adds that he obviously forgot to lower gear, focusing on localizer and glide slope. He had throttle back to idle and 40 degrees flaps on landing, but did not remember hearing gear warning. It is his opinion that he apparently forgot to follow his check list.

As the FAA filed it
