What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-5)During landing phase on a wet runway at John Wayne airport, the left side anti-skid apparently failed, causing the left inboard tire to blow out from the braking action. The tire broke off a piece of the splash guard, which sailed up into the extended flap, punching a 6" hole into it. The pilots experienced no negative sensations and discovered the problem only after ATC notified them as they rolled off the runway. They determined that the aircraft could be safely taxied so they taxied the aircraft to the paved cargo area and disembarked the passenters to the terminal by bus. There were no injuries, in fact no one aboard knew anything had occurred.
