From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On staurday, April 3, 1999 at 1330 local, a CL-601 challenger aircraft, N888AZ, operated by taughannock aviation corp., lost fluid in the #3 reservoir. There were no hydraulics, so the crew lowered the gear manually and declared an emergency. The aircraft landed on runway 23 without incident. Maintenance found the hose from the pressure outlet #3A pump ruptured causing the loss of fluid and replaced the line. This incident is considered closed.
