What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

1972 Bell BH-47-G3B2A helicopter was performing aerial application operations with a bucket attached when the lines became caught in ground equipment, and the acft struck the ground and sustained substantial damage, other circumstances are unknown. (-23)pilot stated that the external load cable got caught in the auger of fertilizer truck and the hydraulic lines attached to agitator in the fertilizer bucket did not release properly. Since the hydraulic lines were routed over the skid, the helicopter was pulled out of lateral c.g. by the hydraulic lines when the load was picked. During the attempt to control and land the helicopter it impacted the ground.
