From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During a crop dusting operation near Dewitt, Arkansas on June 25, 1999 at 0700, Mr. Michael meins, a commercial ag pilot, was attempting to land an Ayres thrush, N393KW at a private airstrip belonging to wil-co flying service who is the registered owner of the aircraft. By Mr. Meins statement, as he was approaching his touch down point he noticed a pool of water standing on the end of the runway and added power to land past it. As he touched down he said "I thought I reversed thrust but I had no stopping power except brakes". He departed the right side of the runway about 2/3RDS of the way down. As the left main gear collapsed, the propeller struck the ground. At the time the prop struck the ground, it was feathered. Mr. Meins does not remember when he feathered it. The aircraft sustained minor damage and there were no injuries to Mr. Meins.
