From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft landed on grass strip and then veered off left side of runway. Left main and nose gear traversed a 12 inch wide, 12 inch deep ditch, and right main gear settled into ditch. Nose gear sheared off and then aircraft slid 50 feet and came to a halt. Right main gear appears to be bent inboard, propeller bent and tips curled. Engine mount cracked at engine attatch point on upper left side. Aircraft was overdue an annual inspection and was on a ferry permit from 9LA6, pineville municipal airport.
