From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft had load of damp fertilizer (approximately 3,800 pounds) when a takeoff was attempted with an outside air temperature of approximately 95 degrees f. the aircraft cleared a 12 inch rise at the end of a 2,500' long runway, however, the main wheels contacted the top inch of a soft vinyl 10 inch diameter irrigation pipe that was on the ground adjacent to a cotton field. Within 2' of the irrigation pipe was a cotton field with cotton plants about 4 feet tall. The main wheels and propeller traveled through about 2,000' of this cotton befor the aircraft slowe, dragged a wing in the cotton, and rolled over and came to rest inverted. The pilot stated he attempted to dump the fertilizer, but it was too damp/adhesive to exit the hopper in time.

As the FAA filed it
