From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approx. 1600 MDT on 08/01/99 I received a call from FAA inspector jd huss of the abq FSDO who advised me of an incident that occurred at oeo airport at approx. 1500 MDT when N916G, a glider owned by albuquerque soaring club and piloted by Ms. Karen taylor had landed on rwy 8 and as the crew was exiting the aircraft to move it from the runway, N80RW, a skybolt piloted by Mr. Robert carlton landed on rwy 26 and was taxiing and due to the slope of the rwy and the lower wing of the skybolt obscuring vision, the skybolts left main landing gear impacted the left wingtip of the Grob glider. There were no injuries to any of the parties.
