From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Investigation revealed pilot misinterpreted wind direction on final approach to Palm Beach International Airport, after receiving the actual wind direction and clearance to land on runway 27R from flight approach. Pilot allowed aircraft to drive off the runway, over the grass. Pilot applied power to attempt a go-around but hit an electrical equipment box located in the grassy strip between runway 27L and the adjacent taxiway. The pilot then cut power and applied the brakes. The aircraft came to rest approximately 100-150 feet past the electrical equipment box.
