From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-5)Aircraft lost power (engine quit) moments after takeoff from rwy 28R at myf. The pilot stated the taxi out and static runup were uneventful. Furthermore there was no other indications prior to the power loss (I.e. backfiring, sputtering, etc...). The aircraft was fueled the day before the incident with 100 11 av-gas, and the fuel system was inspected for the presents of water, and/or contaminates prior to the flight(none being found). The pilot put the aircraft down on the remaining ruwnay. The main landing gear was sheared off, and one propeller blade was bent. The pilot (sole occupant) was not injuried as a result. The cause of the power loss is still under investigation by this office.
