From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 9/12/99, at approx. 5:30 pm, the pilot departed lemaire airport, jenerette, LA with 4 skydivers onboard. When they reached an altitude of approx. 1500 feet AGL., ground personnel noticed that a high gusty wind had moved into the area. The pilot was advised by radio to abort the jump and return to the airport. On landing, the pilot experienced an approx. 25 mph crosswind, causing him to increase airspeed and leave the flaps up. He was unable to get the a/c on the ground and therefore was unable to get any breaking action. He ran off the end of runway 21 ending up in a ditch complaining of a sore back. He was released from the hospital later that evening. Note: waiting on owner to provide a/c times.
