From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 9/21/99 at 847E, N29TF, a Piper PA-42-42 Piper cheyenne iii, landed on runway 28 at Syracuse, NY. The flight was to depart syr and go to cortland, NY (N03). While on approach to N03 the pilot attempted to put the gear down and only the nose gear extended. They made a missed approach and returned to syr. The pilot then used the emergency bow down bottles to extend the main gear but only the right main gear came down; the left gear remained in the up position. The pilot then pulled the circuit breaker for the q sensor override which is the selonoid for the gear doors. Eventually the left gear extended. The arrf responded and the aircraft landed and taxied to the ramp without further incident. This incident is considered closed.
