From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)The pilot landed airplane on runway 36 (2,425 feet long, with a slight up slope). The pilot failed to stop airplane before reaching the end of the runway. After pilot and passenger exited the airplane, the airplane began to roll before coming to rest when the right wing tip struck the perimeter fence. The iic was at the airport at the time of this incident conducting a pilot certification test. The aircraft used on the certification test was the same make and model as the aircraft involved in this incident. The applicant on the certification test landed on runway 36 approx. ten minutes after this incident. The applicant landed without difficulty and with minimal braking and exited at a taxiway approx. two thirds up the runway from the approach end of the runway. The wind at andrews air force base, 8NM ssw, was reported to be variable from 180 to 270 at 7 KTS.
