What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) After a local flight, the pilot was taxiing back to the ramp after dark. Because of construction at the airport, he knew that he had to cross a dirt bridge across a trench to get to the ramp. He stopped to determine exactly where the bridge was. It was not lighted. While on the bridge, the right wheel slid into the trench. The prop hit the asphalt at the FAR edge of the trench. The ramp and trench were in a non movement area. See #40 for corrective action explanation.
