From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft, a CE-182RG, N756PN, was on an instrument approach to runway 24 at Islip macarthur (isp) airport. The PIC performed his before landing checklist items and extended the landing gear. The tower had N756PN, follow a Cessna 172 on the final approach and requested N756PN, slow to 100 knots. After the C-172 was no longer a factory, the tower requested that N756PN, pick up it's final approach speed. The PIC then retracted the landing gear but forgot to re-extend the gear before landing. The aircraft landed on runway 24 on it's belly and sustained damage to the propeller, sudden engine stoppage, belly antennas and belly skins #1 through #4.
