From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) PIC attempted a night landing to runway 13 at avo without the runway lights activated. PIC deployed full flaps and reduced the airplanes airspeed to approx. 50 knots. On short final, the PIC heard the stall horn and became aware that he was crossing over, and drifting off to the right side of the runway. He added power and retracted the flaps in an effort to go around. The airplanes right main landing gear contacted the ground and the PIC retarded the throttle. The airplane continued beyond the end of the runway and impacted dirt mounds which severly distorted the airplane's motor mounts and firewall, right main landing gear box, and right horizontal stabilizer spar.privacy data omitted
