From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot began experiencing engine trouble over K00. One magneto was out and apparently had fouled the plugs. Turned back to the nearest (K00) and flew over the field at about 2500 ft. where everything looked normal. Set up for a landing and on short final noticed that the runway had been plowed. He tried to land with a wheel on each side of the furrow. At about 40 mph the 1/H main gear impacted the dirt and the a/c veered to the left. It then impacted the fence, and came to a stop in an upright position.
