From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)Pilot stated he lost engine power while flying at 1500 feet MSL. He said he checked the prop mixture and checked fuel boost pump on and switched to the opposite fuel tank to no avail. Engine would not restart and did not get gear down indication when gear was extended so he put the gear lever back to the up position and landed the aircraft gear up on highway 79. There is a difference in the color of the fuel drained from the left and right tanks and the reason for this is being investigated by airworthiness inspectors.
