(-23) The PIC stated that while on approach, he thought that he was coming in for a landing a little high. He stated that he realized that the glider was not going to touch down. He flew to the end of the runway (traffic was not a factor). He proceeded to pull the nose up to do a steep 180 right turn. Then he proceeded to do a 180 left turn and figured he pulled it too tight. He then pulled the nose up and the aircraft hit the ground.

(-23) THE PIC STATED THAT WHILE ON APPROACH, HE THOUGHT THAT HE WAS COMING IN FOR A LANDING A LITTLE HIGH. HE STATED THAT HE REALIZED THAT THE GLIDER WAS NOT GOING TO TOUCH DOWN. HE FLEW TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY (TRAFFIC WAS NOT A FACTOR). HE PROCEEDED TO PULL THE NOSE UP TO DO A STEEP 180 RIGHT TURN. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO DO A 180 LEFT TURN AND FIGURED HE PULLED IT TOO TIGHT. HE THEN PULLED THE NOSE UP AND THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE GROUND.
