From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot reported that upon landing as he lowered the collective, the cyclic control started to shake in his hand. The pilot thought the cyclic movement might be the beginning of ground resonance, in an effort to stop the occilation, the pilot lifted the helicopter back into the air. At that point the condition worsened, so the pilot tried to re-land. Prior to making the second landing he was able to turn the helicopter to the left and right with tailrotor control, looking for a fuel truck that was in the proximity. Still fighting the cyclic control the helicopter began moving sideways to the right. The pilot tried to manuever it back to ,the left, but could not, the right skid touched down and the helicopter rolled onto its side.
