From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was operated under lease from Alaska airlines. Nose gear would not retract on departire from pafa. The gear was lowered and resulted in three down and locked indications. Crew elected to accomplish two low passes at pafa with maintenance observing from the ground to insure gear was safe. Landing at pafa was uneventful. No evacuation was initiated and normal passenger deplaning occurred at the gate. Alaska airlines maintenance personnel inspected the nose gear and determined that the strut was low. The strut schrader valve was replaced, the strut was serviced with fluid and nitrogen, retraction and freefall test were accomplished and the aircraft was returned to service.
