From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that he was on a flight from Guthrie airport, Guthrie, OK and intended to return to Guthrie airport. He said the engine lost power then stopped running. He made a forced landing in a field about 3 miles south east of Guthrie airport. The pilot stated the right fuel tank was selected, and that it was empty. He said that during his preflight inspection he relied on the fuel quantity indicator to determine there was enough fuel for the flight. There was no post landing fire. The aircraft landing gear and propeller was damaged during the landing. The pilot was the only person aboard and was not injured.
