From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot/owner landed at Walla Walla airport after an uneventful flight from kalispel, Montana. On rollout, the nose gear collapsed. The pilot turned off the fuel and electrical, then exited the aircraft. Both nose gear downlock pins broke which caused the nose gear to unlock and collapse on landing. Cessna knew about the problem and issure SEB95-20 on December 29, 1995 which recommended repetitive inspections for looseness, and replacement of the pins through a service kit if they are found loose in their housing. It appears that seb 95-20 was not incorporated into the maintenance program of this aircraft by it's owners. A malfunction or defect report on the parts will be generated by the repair shop.
