From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

Door 2 LH lanyard (deployment cable) did not disconnect from girt bar, preventing the door from fully opening. The door opened approximately 2 feet, blocking the emergency exit. Initial inspection performed by united maintenance personnel and the FAA of the LH engine revealed metal in the tail pipe. One hundred seventy four (174) passengers and thirteen (13) crew members were on board. As a result of the emergency evacuation three of the passengers and one flight attendant suffered minor injuries during the evacuation.
